Adam Yauch, one-third of the pioneering hip-hop group the Beastie Boys, has died at the age of 47, GWOP Magazine has learned. Yauch, also known as MCA, had been in treatment for cancer since 2009. The rapper was diagnosed in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland.

The highlight of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s historic performance at Coachella 2012 was the rumored and much talked about hologram performance by Tupac Shakur during their headlining set. Fans gasped and celebrated as the late legendary MC was brought to life for a medley of “Hail Mary” and “Amerikka’s Most Wanted.
