You might not know who Arjan Roskam is, but you’ve probably smoked his weed. Arjan’s been breeding some of the most famous marijuana strains in the world—like White Widow, Super Silver Haze, and many others—for over 20 years.
In 1992 he opened his first coffee shop in Amsterdam and has since crafted his marijuana-breeding skills into a market-savvy empire known as Green House Seed Company, which rakes in millions of dollars a year.

After seeing a report on ABC7 TV, the legendary rapper Nas is helping a single father of eight kids get back on his feet. The musician was visiting D.C. this week when he saw a report on Stanley Young. The father and his kids were left homeless after a fire destroyed his apartment. Touched by the family’s plight, Nas launched an online campaign to raise money for the Youngs. So far Nasir Jones has raised $50k for the family.

Rents in Brooklyn have skyrocketed to an average of $3,035 in July, up 8.2% from July of last year.
The average rent in Manhattan was $3,822 in July, up 1.7%.
Brooklyn luxury units — those priced in the top 10% of the market — led the surge, with the average rent in this segment hitting $6,007, up 8.8%.
A new study released Wednesday by Domo and CEO.com found that nearly 70% of Fortune 500 CEOs have no presence whatsoever on any major social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Google+. Of the 30% that choose to engage in social media, nearly all of them (28%) do so through LinkedIn.
