2Pac - Discography

Today marks the nine year anniversary of the  terrorists attacks on the World Trade Center in New York.

On this day, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners.[2][3] The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the buildings. Both buildings collapsed within two hours, destroying nearby buildings and damaging others. The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Pennsylvania after some of its passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane, which the hijackers had redirected toward Washington, D.C. There were no survivors from any of the flights.

The death toll of the attacks was 2,996, including the 19 hijackers.

Thinkin’ of a masterplan….

On the night of September 7, 1996, Shakur attended the Mike TysonBruce Seldon boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  Shortly after the boxing match, 2pac was gunned down at the corner of Flamingo/ Koval , 1 block from the famous Las Vegas strip (keep in mind they got cameras on every street corner).  This crime is still unsolved to this date, 14 years later.

2pac is arguably 1 of the greatest entertainers of all time, before his death he released Six studio albums (1st rap artist to release a Double CD-“All Eyez On Me” 9x platinum), Six feature films including his debut in JUICE and released Eight additional studio albums after his death at the young age of 25.  He is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-selling rap artist, with over 75 million albums sold worldwide.  If 2pac was still alive, would DMX, Ja Rule, 50 Cent, or Jay Z even have a rap career?

Who were the wealthiest people EVER?

A list of the twenty richest, based on scholarly estimates and adjusted for inflation, includes entrepreneurs, warriors, and robber barons.

Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and Carlos Slim are the only living men who made the list — and that’s only counting their net worth at bubble peaks in 1999 and 2007.

You’ll notice much of the list come from England and America.

Hip-hop history was made as Jay-Z and Eminem co-headlined the Motor City’s Comerica Park on Thursday night (September 2), the first of two shows on consecutive nights.

While Jay’s high-grossing touring schedule helped him to top this year’s Forbes’ “Hip-Hop Cash King” list, Eminem took a much-needed sabbatical to deal with plenty of personal issues. Now beyond his darkest hour, Em had one of his brightest moments ever onstage. Not only did he gift his hometown with a seemingly endless string of hits, he pulled off some major surprises. After D12, 50 Cent and the G-Unit — acts that fans likely expected — came out for performances with Em, Slim Shady pulled off a shocker. Dr. Dre came out, first stunning the people then delighting them with smashes.

Other special guest appearanced included Jeezy, Drake and many more… Checkout Vid after the jump.

The NYDailyNews reports:

WASHINGTON – A somber President Obama declared an end to the long and costly Iraq war Tuesday night, pledging he now intends to “turn the page” to America’s economic revival.

“The American combat mission in Iraq has ended,” Obama told the nation in an 18-minute address, only his second from the Oval Office. “Operation Iraqi Freedom is over, and the Iraqi people now have responsibility for the security of their country.”

The U.S. will help Iraq develop a stable government and keep up the increasingly difficult fight in Afghanistan, he pledged. But Obama asserted that “our central mission as a people and my central responsibility as President” is reinvigorating the limping economy at home.

“Today, our most urgent task is to restore our economy and put the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs back to work,” he said.

The star power of T.I., Chris Brown, Idris Elba, and more proved to be a powerful force at this weekend’s box office. While it barely missed the top spot, the action flick still managed to pull in strong figures.

Based on weekend estimates, the horror film The Last Exorcism grossed an estimated $21.3 million at 2,874 locations, enough to narrowly edge out Takers, which came in at No. 2 after earning $21 million at 2,206 theaters, according to studio estimates. At this rate, it should have no problem recouping its $32 million budget.

Takers, which also stars Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, and Zoe Saldana, focuses on a group of professional robbers who plan mind-blowing heists. When the recently-paroled member Ghost (played by T.I.) rounds up the crew for one last sting, they have to dodge a pair of detectives (Dillon and Hernandez) intent on putting a stop to their theft.

“Takers is suspenseful  modern male version of ‘Set it Off’ or a black ‘Ocean’s 11’ with a young hip hop cast…. “
