Most of the jobs lost during the recession paid middle-income wages, while three-fifths of the jobs gained in the recovery are low-wage, according to a recent report from the National Employment Law Project. And some sectors with the fastest job growth, like retail and food services, are also some of the worst paying.

Supercar owners living in an exclusive high-rise apartment block can now park their beloved motors from their – LIVING ROOMS. Hamilton Parks in Singapore is a brand-new 30-storey development where flats cost between £6 and £15 MILLION. But with parking in the city limited, the skyscraper designer came up with an innovative way of parking some of the planets fastest cars. Residents simply drive their 200mph motors into a biometrically-controlled lift at the base of Hamilton Parks on the city’s swanky Orchard Road.

The 44-year-old father of two and self-described “hillbilly” from Lapeer, Mich., claimed his prize Friday – the third largest in the game’s history – in a lump-sum, $224.6 million payment that works out to $158.7 million, after taxes.

The Shoezeum is the largest and most comprehensive collection of Nikes in the world and it opened today in downtown Las Vegas. The gallery opens daily at 4pm.  Only $10 admission.

GWOP Magazine staff checked out the Shoezeum for its grand opening.  Jordan Geller (founder of Shoezeum/ sneaker collector) has the sickest shoe collection in the world with over 2500 Nikes.  This museum /art gallery is a sneaker heads heaven.

Samsung vs. Apple

Apple won more than $1 billion in a massive US court victory over Samsung on Friday, in one of the biggest patent cases in decades.

A jury in San Jose, California awarded $1.049 billion to the US tech giant, according to reports from the courtroom.

How the jury came down on both companies. Samsung devices: the Captivate, Continuum, Droid Charge, Epic 4G, Fascinate, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy S, Exhibit, Infuse 4G, Mesmerize, Nexus S 4G, Gem, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Tab 10.1

  • The jury found no infringement by Apple on any of Samsung’s utility patents.
  • The jury found that Samsung infringed on patents for ’381 “bounce back” scrolling functionality on all devices.
  • On the ’915 patent, relating to one finger to scroll, two to pinch and zoom navigation, all but three Samsung devices (Ace, Intercept and Replenish) infringed.
  • For Apple’s ’163 patent (tap to zoom) all Samsung devices except Captivate, Indulge, Intercept, Nexus S 4G, Transform and Vibrant infringed.
