“The World Is Watching” is a six-episode basketball documentary directed by Rik Cordero and narrated by legendary New York City filmmaker Spike Lee. The film features prominent teenage athletes competing in a New York City Basketball tournament called Battle of the Boroughs.

It features the best up and coming basketball players in New York City including rising star Maurice Harkless, currently playing for the Orlando Magic. As the players push their bodies to the limit, they must also live up to the expectations of their coaches, their families and their boroughs.
