Beyonce Digital Visual Album Breaks Records

Beyonce fifth album was released early Friday morning exclusively on iTunes. Apple said Monday that it sold 617,213 in its U.S. iTunes Store. It sold 828,773 internationally.  No promotion. No Marketing

The album is being sold by iTunes exclusively for a week at $15.99. It will be sold in retailers and others websites this week.

“Beyonce” broke the first-week digital sales record for an album in the United States. It also marks the singer’s best first-week numbers.

The album will debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart this week.

The Murder of Fred Hampton began as a film portrait of Hampton and the Illinois Black Panther Party, but half way through the shoot, Hampton was murdered by Chicago policeman.
In an infamous moment in Chicago history and politics, over a dozen policeman burst into Hampton’s apartment while its occupants were sleeping, killing Hampton and fellow Panther Mark Clark and brutalizing the other occupants.
Filmmakers Mike Gray and Howard Alk arrived a few hours later to shoot film footage of the crime scene that was later used to contradict news reports and police testimony.

Jay Z Buys Basquiat Painting for $4.5 million

According to an unnamed source Jay-Z bought an original painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat for a whopping $4.5 million at Sotheby’s auction house last week.

The New York Post reports that Jay Z was revealed as the anonymous buyer who forked over millions for Basquiat’s 1982 painting ‘Mecca.’ ‘Mecca’ is a crude orange, black and white painting of the Empire State Building and its surroundings.

Samsung Pays Apple Lawsuit in 20 Billion Nickels

Yesterday morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

The funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best.

Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, told the media that his company is not going to be intimidated by a group of “geeks with style” and that if they want to play dirty, they also know how to do it.

You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that’s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law.

A total of 20 billion coins, delivery hope to finish this week.
Let’s see how Apple will respond to this.
