Marley Documentary [trailer]
Bob Marley’s universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet is both unique and unparalleled. MARLEY is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom. Made with the support of the Marley family, the film features rare footage, incredible performances and revelatory interviews with the people that knew him best.
From Academy Award-winning director Kevin Macdonald (One Day In September, The Last King of Scotland) comes the story of a towering figure of musical history, whose music and message has transcended different cultures, languages and creeds to resonate around the world today as powerfully as when he was alive.
MARLEY will make its world premiere at the Berlin Film festival this month followed by its North American premiere at SXSW. Magnolia Pictures will release theatrically and on VOD on Friday, April 20th.

Derrick Rose signs 14 year $250 Million contract with Adidas
ORLANDO, Fla. — Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose signed a new deal with adidas Friday that should keep him in the company’s brand for the rest of his career.
“It’s a blessing, man,” Rose said before Saturday morning’s All-Star practice. “Definitely a blessing. They’ve been with me, they stuck with me from the beginning and I’m happy that I’m a part of them for the rest of my life.”
Comcast Sportsnet initially reported the story early Saturday morning, saying that according to a source, Rose’s new deal was for 14 years and $250 million. Rose has been with adidas since he entered the league and has become a major face of the company.
“It’s great, man,” Rose said. “We’ve been trying to get it out of the way for a long time. I just remember them bringing it up to me and I couldn’t really think about the amount. I’m just blessed and feel grateful right now.”
Rose has remained loyal to the company and he clearly appreciates the fact that adidas has been loyal to him.

Jay-Z And Kanye West’s “Otis” Car To Be Auctioned At Phillips Du Pury
Spotted: Huffington Post
It was a glorious day when the music video for “Otis,” the first single from super-collaboration “Watch the Throne” was released. Yet in a music video starring hip-hop’s biggest giants Jay-Z and Kanye West and directed by indie-darling Spike Jonze… you wouldn’t expect a car to steal the show, but the deconstructed Maybach stole our hearts.
The $350,000 vehicle was part Burning Man part bling… a perfect visual for the broken-down American dream aesthetic of the video. According to GalleristNY the car can now be yours, if you are willing to, as Jay says, be spendin’ cheese. The wheels will sell at Phillips du Pury auction house on March 8, with proceeds going to Save the Children. It is expected to sell at around $100,000.
