Perrry makes big money from his TV shows (Meet the Browns and House of Payne) as well as his movies.  He’ll take on the role of detective Alex Cross in a big screen adaptation of the James Patterson books.

BOONDOCKS

Turner Broadcasting is trying to avoid a house of pain with producer Tyler Perry.

Perry, who has two shows on Turner’s TBS cable channel (“House of Payne” and “Meet the Browns”) was furious about a recent episode of the animated series “The Boondocks” that ran on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block. Cartoon Network also is owned by Turner Broadcasting.

Hollywood’s 10 Highest-Paid Men. Coming in at number four is the mastermind behind the Madea franchise – producer, writer, director Tyler Perry – pulling in  over $80 million. Others who top the list included: George Lucas ($170M), Steven Spielberg ($150M), Jerry Bruckheimer ($100M), Jerry Seinfeld ($85M), and Dr. Phil McGraw ($80M).
