Jay-Z may be the most influential rapper alive, but Hip Hop is a game for the younger crowd.  Nas, Snoop Dogg, Kayne West, Outkast, E 40 and Jigga are pioneers in the rap game but there is a new wave of Hip Hop talent amongst us.  We doubt L.A. Reid or any major label executive is going to sign a 40 year old rapper or rap group in this economy.

The staff over at GWOP Magazine has compiled a list of the best rappers in Hip Hop 29 years and younger.  Checkout the full list after the jump.

Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell

spotted: Miami News

Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking music once made the U.S. Supreme Court  for free speech, is a candidate to replace ex-Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez — makes a campaign promise that will light up county residents.
“Once I am elected mayor, I am going to ease up on marijuana enforcement. Folks caught holding 20 grams or less won’t have to go to jail. We have bigger problems. These arrests will be a low priority. This should allow police to tackle problems — such as violent street crime, mortgage fraud, and public corruption — that have kept Miami-Dade down for too long.”

Miami filmmakers Alfred Spellman and Billy Corben’s latest film, Square Grouper, follows three stories of marijuana smuggling in South Florida in the 1980s. One of these stories is about Everglades City, a small fishing town on the Gulf Coast that sits in the middle of Tamiami Trail. Many in this quaint village of 500 residents went from fishermen to pot smugglers. The documentary premiered April 14 in Miami.

Spellman and Corben run the Miami Beach producton company, Rakontur. Their previous films include the popular Cocaine Cowboys and The U.
