Teenage Dream sold 1.7 million copies and around 20 million singles. In addition to getting at least 15% from album sales, Perry is also earning money from extensive touring.

Behind Gisele Bunchen and Tom Brady, Jay Z and Beyonce come in as the second highest-paid celebrity couple for this year’s Forbes top earning list, but number 1 musically with a combined total of $72 million.
From May 2010 to May 2011, Beyonce racked in $32 million mostly from endorsement deals from Dereon to L’Oreal, while Jigga Man’s earnings stem from his 2008 $150 million Live Nation deal, 40/40 chains and his partial ownership of the New Jersey Nets.

Swizz Beats – who most recently appears on Jay-Z & Kanye West’s Watch The Throne– has been named Vice President of Creative Design and Global Marketing for British Car Company Lotus.
“The key is to infiltrate the market in a cool way,” said Swizzy in a clip of his first day on the job. His business philosophy centers on the idea that the key to success is for “things to happen organically.”
Which isn’t to say that Lotus is about to go into the woods and find their zen spirit animal. “They want flash,” Beatz continued – and flash is something this track slinger is definitely familiar with.
“Like Group Lotus, he means business: He’s a risk taker with considerable credentials, including music producer, rapper, designer and painter,” a Lotus rep said in a statement. “(He’s) the perfect man to add to the Lotus lineup.”
