Feds shut down dozens of Hip Hop websites for illegal music, movies and counterfeit goods

If you recently tried to log in to one of your favorite sites that allowed the downloading of pirated movies, music, music videos or sold counterfeit goods, chances are it’s gone.

The Department of Justice, Homeland Security Investigations and National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center have been quite busy the last couple of days.

Lots of hip hop fans were in shock when they signed on to RapGodfathers.com and OnSmash (click OnSmash in our GWOP Roll) , only to find the sites had been seized by ICE.

But those seizures were just tip of the iceberg. Dozens of other domains have fallen victim in the U.S. Government’s latest attempt to shut down rampant piracy and bootlegging that is costing the record industry, movie companies and clothing manufacturers billions of dollars annually.
